If you get still, centered and connected, you can feel there has been a shift in energy since the eclipse. I'm surrounded right now with people going through change of some sort, myself included. I also hear people everywhere talking about how off, tired or chaotic they've felt lately. There is no secret why this is happening to so many people at the same time.
On August 21st we experienced a total solar eclipse. This occurs when the sun, moon and earth all align. These three cosmic forces coming together at once is incredibly powerful!
NASA refuses to acknowledge any psychological affects these types of events have on humans but if you really think about it, that can't be true. The sun and the moon dictate the tide in the oceans and animals react to them too. Of course, we as humans are going to be affected as well.
During a solar eclipse the vibration and frequency of the energy on earth changes and we are all connected to those vibrations and frequencies. Which explains why pre and post eclipse it's not uncommon to experience things like:
* Your balance being off
* Feeling "off" or "out of sorts"
* Being extra sensitive to people and situations
* Experiencing lethargy
* Feeling chaotic
This is also a time for great awakening, spiritual connection and healing. During an eclipse, our pineal gland is activated and this is where our third eye chakra is located. It's not uncommon to also experience things like:
* Profound spiritual awakenings
* Strong connection to self and spirit
* Emotional healing
* Bursts of creativity
* Stronger relationships
The eclipse signifies a fresh start and new beginnings. I personally have been feeling alive, creative and connected. I have so many new ideas and I've been brainstorming like crazy. I also feel a heightened sense of clarity and purpose. This week alone I've had 3 powerful encounters with new people coming into my world and they are bringing tremendous value. I've also been feeling really connected to my meditation practice too. Meditation is one of those things that's always necessary in my life but there are times when my practice isn't as strong as I'd like it to be. Since the eclipse, I've been meditating every morning and it's really resonating with me. I feel more in the moment and focused on living in the now - which is totally awesome :)
Whatever you're feeling approach it with compassion and self love. You can feel the intense effects of an eclipse for up to 90 days post eclipse so just be patient with yourself.
If you're feeling some of the not so great effects, plug into activities that will ground you like meditation, eating root veggies, connecting to nature, putting your bare feet on the earth and embracing the color red.
