I don't believe in coincidence. I believe that we receive exactly what we need when we need it. As I've shared recently, I am on a shamanic healing journey to facilitate releasing all that no longer serves me.
This shamanic journey was not even on my radar but I asked the Universe what I needed next and remained open to the signs. I found my way to a woman's website who is a healer on many levels. I read the bullet points for this 6-week shamanic healing journey and it spoke to my soul. I could instantly tell that this was the next step in my healing journey.
All of the tools I have gathered leading up to this point have prepared me for what I feel is my next big transition. I am now in my fourth week of this class and have seen numerous cases of divine timing. When we release control, sit back and watch how things naturally fall into place, it can be pretty magical!
The first 2 weeks we worked on releasing our old stories and I had a lot of "stuff" that I needed to let go of. We then moved into embracing our shadow side and reclaiming our power. Since there is no such thing as coincidence, it was certainly divine timing that found me at home in Michigan during this phase. Not only is this home in the family sense but it's also home to many of my old triggers and former self. There were powerful moments of connection, and releasing that took place on this trip.
We have now moved into the north which represents the hummingbird, the sweetness of life and breathing in our new stories. It's also where we have started to explore our ancestral ties and releasing what doesn't belong to us.
We have deeply ingrained mindsets and behaviors that come with our lineage. They have been passed down from generation to generation and often times we can find they are not serving our highest good. For me, I'm working to release my restricting money mentality and expectations I place on myself and others. I know they are from my mother's side and go back to my grandfather and probably his father, his father's father and so on.
We all have these ancestral ties and sometimes we may not even be aware of them. You may be asking yourself, so how do I release these ties? The answer is not one size fits all, unfortunately. Self-awareness is the first step in that you must recognize that you are carrying things that don't belong to you. From there, you just have to be open to the journey and committed to investing in yourself on a daily basis.
As I shared with you, my journey has lead me to this moment in time and this shamanic journey, which is exactly what I need right now. I am using tools like meditation, journaling, healing stones, soul exercises and tapping into the earth to sever these ancestral ties. This will allow me to breathe in my new empowering story and create the mindsets and behaviors I need to manifest what resonates with ME, instead of feeling like I have to carry what's heavy and doesn't even belong to me.
I implore you to go on your own journey and see what you need to release that's no longer serving your highest good or doesn't belong to you. It will free you up to manifest everything you truly want in life. As always, don't hesitate to reach out if you're in need of additional support. This work requires pulling up some deep roots and it will most likely stir up a lot of emotions for you. I recommend working with a professional of some kind to help you navigate through it.
